§ 2-17. Compensation.

A salary is hereby authorized and established for the mayor and members of the village council during their respective terms of office. The compensation shall be paid at a rate of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per month plus those benefits available to general employees with an annual compensation adjustment consistent with the general employee consumer price index (CPI) adjustment. The compensation shall not be increased for any member during his or her term of office.
